We hope everyone had a nice Mother’s Day weekend. This week we are celebrating National Skilled Nursing Care Week at the Center. In typical fashion, the week will be filled with fun activities, festive treats and celebrations throughout the week. Having undergone the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic for more than a year now, we are excited to celebrate this special week with patients, staff and visitors.

As part of our on-going efforts to safely expand visitation at the Center, visitors will no longer need to schedule outdoor visits. These visits may take place between the hours of 10:00 am and 6:00 pm daily, and we ask that you call in advance to ensure the patient is ready and available for your visit. I will continue to communicate any additional changes to our visitation procedures as these changes are made.

County Positivity Rate:  Increased to 8.9%.
Testing Frequency for Staff and Patients: Staff are tested weekly based on county positivity rate. Patients are tested as needed based on symptoms or exposure.
PPE: The supply remains adequate. Staff receive ongoing education on appropriate PPE utilization.
Visitation: Virtual, outdoor and scheduled indoor visitation are all currently available. Click this link to schedule: https://abingdon-rehab.com/patient-visitations/.

As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Stacy Taylor, RN, BSN, LNHA
