Mrs. Rowland

Mrs. Rowland was born in Marion, VA, in 1922, one of 16 children (8 boys and 8 girls).  She graduated from Marion Senior High School, where she met Bill, whom she married in 1945.  They were married for 55 years! 

Free Time

She worked for Mary Gray Hosiery Mill in Bristol, TN, and her husband was in insurance sales.  They lived in Bluff City, Tennessee, where spending time together was their favorite pastime.  Mrs. Rowland enjoyed gardening, canning, freezing her vegetables, and working in her flower gardens in the spring and summer.

Family

Her nieces and nephews were their children.  Her favorite trip was the annual family reunion in Pipe Stem, West Virginia.  This location was mid-way for all family members to gather and spend time together.

Mrs. Rowland has been an Abingdon Health and Rehab Center resident since June 2014.
