Douglas Ray, Cook
The Employee of the Quarter: Spring 2020 

Doug has been with Abingdon Health & Rehab since October 30, 2018. He works in the dietary department as a cook and serves as a Service Excellence Advocate for the Center.  He articulates his role to the fullest by his positive attitude, teamwork, support to other co-workers, and his compassion for the residents and patients.

Doug enjoys anything that keeps him outdoors! On any given sunny day, you will see him with his kayak in the back of his pickup truck. He says since working here he pays closer attention to our elder population and values their conversation and experiences.
