Throughout the year, Abingdon Health & Rehab Center nominates a Team Member of the Quarter.  This individual is nominated by their peers as an individual who exemplifies service excellence and embodies the CCR mission to provide peace of mind to those we care for: our patients, residents, families, and staff.  One winner is selected from the quarterly winners to receive the Team Member of the Year award. Unfortunately, COVID-19 delayed the award presentation for 2020.

The Team Member of the Year award recipient receives a $500 cash award and a certificate of recognition presented by the Director of Operations, Center Administrator, and the recipient’s Supervisor. In addition, a celebration dinner was held with the winner’s teammates, family, and friends in attendance.  The Abingdon Health & Rehab Center winner then competes with 12 other Team Member of the Year award winners to be selected for the Deborah L. Petrine Award. This team member receives an award presented by the Commonwealth Care of Roanoke, LLC President, Director of Operations, and Center Administrator at the winning team member’s Center.

Today, we are pleased to announce the 2020 Team Member of the Year for Abingdon Health & Rehab Center is David Howell, Director of Maintenance.
