Ms.  Finley was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and is the youngest of three children, with one sister and one brother.  During the early seventies, she relocated to Bristol, Virginia, where she graduated from John Battle High School.  After high school graduation, she earned her degree from Virginia Intermont College in Business and Finance, and went on to work as an accountant for a telephone company until the company relocated to North Carolina.  Then, she worked as a Controller for a corporation that built and managed Assisted Living facilities.  The corporation had thirty-seven buildings throughout Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

She came to Abingdon Health and Rehab Center in 2013 after transferring from another long-term care facility.  Ms. Finley stays active by being our Chairperson of the Resident Council.  She is an avid reader and likes to read mystery and suspense novels and play on her computer.
