Welcome Kate!

Abingdon Health and Rehab would like to welcome Kate Hannula, RN BSN, CWOCN to our Team as the new wound care nurse.  Kate is a 1991 graduate of The Ohio State University where she earned her BSN. She obtained her National Certification in wound, ostomy, and continence from Emory University in Atlanta.  She says she has always had an interest in wound care since her time at OSU.  She brings to the Center experience in hospital, home care, as well as long term care.

Kate has been married for 26 years to Dr. Todd Hannula, MD and has 7 children from ages 15 to 23, four of whom her husband and she have adopted.

Kate has volunteered her time and compassion for care by going to Kenya and Ethiopia on medical missions to assist with medical treatment to those less fortunate.
