Congratulations to David Howell, who was nominated for the 2015 Empowering Manager Award at the HealthCare Service Excellence Conference.
Who is an Empowering Manager? A true leader who encourages individuals to achieve great results.
David was nominated by: Stephen Reynolds, Administrator
David Howell wears many hats here at our Center. He exhibits all the qualities of a strong, engaging mentor. He has a giving heart, a willingness to help and support his team mates, and welcomes our new members by giving them a sense of belonging from the first day. He has happily served on the Service Excellence team as a 2 year ambassador and supports its mission daily with his positive attitude and by taking a personal interest in the staff. He volunteers to conduct annual workshops or assist. David never says no to a request for help by a patient/resident or staff member.
He is the ‘Go to Guy’ at AHRC, regardless of the need, concern, or question. Or the guy that will just let you vent on a bad day. David has a genuine concern for his fellow co-workers that is rare in today’s world. He is on call 24/7 in the event of emergency and willing to help in each department.
He always shares a smile with the residents and you can see their eyes shine when he gives them a friendly “hello, how are you today?” At any resident or staff activities, you will find David in the middle making people laugh.
And, when there is a need for something to be done, his response is always, “I got it!” He is always willing to lend a helping hand no matter what department or which patient/resident. He always provides service with a smile.
The HealthCare Summit Awards are a North American wide recognition program established and managed by the HealthCare Service Excellence Conference on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona.
